Located just 5 minutes from our Outpatient facility is our dedicated 15-bed Inpatient facility. AVI has conducted 36 inpatient CNS studies (Phase I-III) in Alzheimer's Dementia, Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. In addition, we have conducted several Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacogenomic, and QTc sub-studies. Our clinical trial unit is part of a large psychiatric facility that treats patients suffering from chronic adult and geriatric mental disorders. The clinical trial unit is staffed with experienced licensed clinical professionals well trained in working with the populations studied. Years of inpatient clinical trial experience went into the design of the inpatient program. Research participants are programmed separately from the general milieu. In addition to the well trained research staff is a Quality-Assurance nurse who conducts daily chart audits. We are able to concurrently enroll adult and geriatric populations.
